Pistons Down Heat With Fiery Comeback

A dismal fourth quarter ultimately doomed Heat Check Gaming as Pistons GT managed to secure a 70-62 win on Saturday to open up their regular season.

It was an even game throughout the first three quarters, as the upstarts Heat Check Gaming (0-1) held a slim one point lead entering the final six years. Point guard Majes7ic had a lot to do with the surprisingly competitive contest, as the Miami combo guard either scored or assisted on 25 of the team’s 37 first-half points.

That production simply disappeared in the fourth quarter, however, as Majes7ic only scored two points in the entire second half when Pistons GT (1-0) roared ahead in the fourth. Missed shots and turnovers sprung Detroit on multiple fast break opportunities, leading both iiNsaniTTy and Lets Get It Ramo to heat up at the pivotal moment. The duo combined for nearly 20 points, missing just under five shots during the extended run as Pistons GT pulled ahead with a fiery performance.

The total team effort from both sides was encouraging, as Heat Check Gaming seemed entirely too reliant on the efforts of center Hotshot throughout THE TIPOFF – a concern that seemed to be erased after four of the five members scored at least 10 points in the contest. They’ll try and rectify the loss when they take on Warriors Gaming Squad on Friday, while Pistons GT will open Week 2 with a 7 p.m. ET showdown against Bucks Gaming.
