Pistons GT Returns to Form with 2-0 Sweep

Pistons GT completed their second sweep of the season, winning both matchups against Bucks Gaming last night. Detroit improves their record to 9-5 (second in the West), eyeing a pivotal top-nine seed in the upcoming midseason tournament, THE TURN. For Milwaukee, the team falls to 2-12, sitting last in the Western Conference standings.

It was a tie game entering the fourth quarter of game one and Radiant had already registered a double-double (23pts-12asts). Opposing point guard, Regg, was working on one of his own with 28 points and 9 assists. Back-and-forth action led to another tight contest down the stretch, something Detroit has grown all too familiar with recently.

Radiant hit the go-ahead bucket to give Pistons GT a three point lead with 27 seconds remaining. Bucks Gaming answered with a score of their own quickly, but a last second Charger steal sealed the deal on a 77-75 victory.

Radiant finished with 30 points, 1 steal, and a season-high 16 assists. Charger and Pexile each recorded 10+ points and 2+ steals/blocks apiece, combining for 23 points, 4 steals, and 1 block.

We saw another one-point contest at halftime of game two, with Bucks Gaming holding the small advantage this time around. A strong third quarter saw Pistons GT claim the lead headed into the final frame, and Detroit finished strongly, winning 79-71.

All five Pistons GT starters posted double-digit scoring with Radiant (30pts-14asts-1stl) and Milo (15pts-4rebs-1blk) leading the way. Charger ended the game with 3 steals, along with 10 points and 2 assists. Pexile helped limit Regg to just 6-for-16 from beyond the arc, and below 50% shooting overall. Ramo recorded his 11th double-double (14pts-12rebs-1blk-1stl) in his last 12 games, and Pistons GT is building momentum as they enter their most important matchup of the season so far.
