After a pair of matchups with Nets Gaming Crew to kick off season four, Pistons GT begins the year 1-1. The teams exchanged blowouts on Thursday night, with Detroit taking game one 84-68 and Brooklyn claiming game two 112-88. In his first official regular season contests rookie point guard Greenlight starred, posting averages of 38.5 points and 13.5 assists per game.

Game one was all about Detroit’s hot start. By halftime, Greenlight was already flirting with a double-double (14pts-8asts) and the team held a 10-point lead. Heading into the final frame, the lead had ballooned to 17 and this one was all but over. Greenlight finished with 27 points and 13 assists. Idris, who made his first start of the season as shooting guard, posted 23 points and 4 assists in his Pistons GT debut.

Charger and Pexile combined to miss just a single shot on 10-for-11 shooting from the field, while Ramo matched his point guard’s double-double (10pts-12rebs).

NetsGC opted to make a few lineup adjustments heading into game two, going with the SlayIsland/Legit duo at lockdown defender and power forward, sending rookie Dante to the bench. While the defense still surrendered 88 points, Brooklyn caught fire in the second half, recording totals of 35 and 40 in the third and fourth quarters, respectively. Nets Gaming Crew went 13-for-15 from three-point range in the second half as a team, ultimately leading to a blowout after a competitive first half.

Opposing point guard Choc finished with 33 points and 27 assists. Greenlight recorded 50 points, a league-wide season high, and 14 assists in the losing effort.
