Pistons GT Splits With T-Wolves Gaming

by Aaron Fox

Pistons GT (2-2) split their matchups with T-Wolves Gaming (5-1) last night, leaving their record at 2-2 to begin the season.

Game one included a slow Pistons GT start which T-Wolves Gaming took advantage of, using it to jump out to an early comfortable lead. Minnesota never quite looked back, ultimately winning the contest 84-66. ShiftyKaii led all scorers with 34 points while his teammates BearDaBeast (11pts-14asts) and Slaughter (18pts-14rebs) each produced a double-double. The win marked T-Wolves Gaming’s fifth straight to begin the regular season.

Ramo recorded a season-high 25 points, along with 10 rebounds and 3 steals in the losing effort. In his first career start with Pistons GT, Radiant posted 17 points, 2 assists, and 1 steal.

We flipped the script in the second game. This time around it was Detroit who would start hot, building an eight-point lead by halftime. Led by their suddenly star-studded backcourt, Pistons GT used a big fourth quarter to close out their second win of the regular season. Greenlight (28pts-8asts) and Radiant (30pts-4asts-3stls) combined to score 58 points, while Ramo did a little bit of everything (5pts-15rebs-4asts-3stls-3blks) for the team.

Detroit’s win snapped T-Wolves Gaming’s five-game winning streak. Heading into last night’s game two, Minnesota had scored 80+ points in all five regular season contests. Game two was the first time the team failed to do so, registering 71 by the final buzzer.
