Pistons GT Top Bucks Gaming Due To Stellar Defense And Timely Buckets

Pistons GT won a grind-out 61-55 contest on Saturday against Bucks Gaming in the quarterfinals of THE TICKET.

Both teams came into this game expecting to have to grind out a win here, and grind they did from start to finish. While many games this week at THE TICKET have seen teams go on monster runs left and right, the Pistons and Bucks were on each other with lock down defense that left little room to maneuver at any point. That defense might have led to a whopping 25 turnovers between these teams, but that simply made every possession count as the game was tight all the way down the wire.

While the Bucks managed to keep the game close for quite some time, all their deficiencies were put on full display in the final few minutes of the game. The only player on the Bucks to tally double digits in the score column was Game6Drake who put up a solid 30 points and six assists. Everyone else struggled from start to finish, perhaps none more so than star point guard oLARRY. He might normally be a big part of the team’s offense, he only managed seven points in the entire game. More troubling, however, was his seven turnovers to only six assists, which left the Bucks without a reliable playmaker and it showed down the stretch.

The Pistons, meanwhile, flourished in the late-game situations as the Bucks couldn’t seem to crack the multi-faceted wall of Detroit. Despite JosephTheTruth and Rux only combining for three points, the rest of Pistons Gt were very much on top of their game here. Lets Get It Ramo put up 21 points and nine rebounds after only tallying five points in the first half, iiNsaniTTy added on 18 points and five rebounds, while Im So Far Ahead rounded things out with a 19-point, 11-assist double-double. The win was yet another strong outing for a Pistons team that is heating up at the right time with four straight wins under its belt.

The Pistons will try and ride this hot streak in the semifinals against the winner of the final quarterfinal match between Kings Guard Gaming and Celtics Crossover Gaming.
