Pistons GT vs. Mavs Gaming Recon Report

Pistons GT is set to take on Mavs Gaming in a pair of regular season matchups tonight. Mavs Gaming is currently 5-7, coming off consecutive losses to Bucks Gaming earlier this week. Pistons GT split their most recent matchups with Pacers Gaming and sits third in the Western Conference with a 6-4 record.

A familiar face will take the court in virtual Detroit. Former Pistons GT member Mr. Stylez, selected fourth overall in 2019, will start at small forward for Dallas. After reinventing himself as a lockdown defender during the offseason, Stylez was drafted 27th overall in the 2021 NBA 2K League draft. Tonight he battles against his former franchise and draws the tough task of defending Detroit’s new star, Radiant.

Radiant has recorded three consecutive double-doubles in his return to point guard, including 9+ assists in all four starts. Oftentimes the team’s success comes down to their point guard’s efficiency. When Radiant shoots 51% or better, Pistons GT is 5-0. When he shoots below 50%, Detroit is 0-3. Getting Radiant hot early will be important for Pistons GT.

Milo vs. Zae

Pistons GT is 3-1 since Milo’s insertion into the starting lineup, holding their opposition to fewer than 70 points in all four contests. Milo has had at least 1 block and/or steal in each appearance so far. Last time out against Pacers Gaming he recorded a career-high 14 points on 5-for-8 shooting overall (4-for-6 on 3PTAs).

Tonight Milo squares off with one of the league’s top power forwards, Zae. Selected 19th overall by Hornets Venom GT in 2020, Zae earned All-Rookie honors and quickly became a household name at the power forward position. His numbers may be down as he adjusts to a new team in Dallas, but Zae is still one of the premier frontcourt players this league has to offer.
